Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In McDonough, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Georgia run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Tried Mo Thai and Sushi Bar in McDonough, and the menu had a decent variety. We started with a large appetizer platter that had a little bit of everythingβgrilled skewers, dumplings, spring rolls, fried calamari, cucumber salad, and several dipping sauces. It was a good way to sample a few different items, and everything came out looking fresh and well prepared. The grilled skewers were juicy, but I thought they could have used a little more seasoning. I guess the peanut sauce was supposed to be the star of the show, but it was just okay for me. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside, but the filling was a little mushy. The calamari had a light, crunchy coating without being overly greasy, and that was probably my favorite item on the platter. I also liked having several sauces because each one gave the appetizers a different flavor. We also tried a Hawaiian sushi roll, which was generously topped and had plenty of sauce without completely overpowering the roll. The presentation was nice, and the portion was a good size. The restaurant itself had a relaxed, casual atmosphere, and the dining room felt clean and comfortable. The service was also great and no issues. Overall,
